Though it seems Miroku will be the next victim, he is surprisingly able to resist seduction and free the spirit of the princess from the coyote demon that stole it, allowing her to pass on. While Miroku comes across the princess who welcomes him into her mansion, Sango comes across the men who have aged dramatically due to having their life energy sucked out. They become separated while entering through a spirit shield infused in a forest. Miroku and Sango are asked to defeat a demon disguised as a beautiful princess, who has been luring men away from a village and stealing their youth. Transcription: " Kiri no Oku ni Bijo no Yūwaku" ( Japanese: 霧の奥に美女の誘惑) Shippo lets Satsuki escape, while he faces off against and easily defeats the lizard demon. The next morning, Satsuki's brother has incredibly returned to her, but Shippo notices that he is really a lizard demon. Upon arriving at another village, Shippo falls in love with a young girl named Satsuki, who believes her deceased older brother will return to her someday, as she shows that she possesses a shard of the Shikon Jewel, not realizing that it is actually a quartz fragment. The opening themes for this season were "I Am" by hitomi for episodes 55-64 and "Owarinai Yume" ( 終わりない夢, "Unending Dream") by Nanase Aikawa for episodes 65-82. The English dub of the third season was broadcast on Cartoon Network as part of its Adult Swim programming block from May 8, 2004, through January 17, 2005. The series continues a half demon Inuyasha and a high school girl Kagome Higurashi's journey alongside their friends Shippo, Miroku and Sango to obtain the fragments of the shattered Jewel of Four Souls, a powerful jewel that had been hidden inside Kagome's body, and keep the shards from being used for evil.
Based on the manga series of the same title by Rumiko Takahashi, the anime was produced by Sunrise. While her series are difficult to pin down into one simple genre, the signature style she has created has come to be known as the “Rumic World.” Rumiko Takahashi is an artist who truly represents the very best from the world of manga.The third season of the anime series Inuyasha aired in Japan on ytv from December 17, 2001, through August 12, 2002. Distinguished by her wonderfully endearing characters, Takahashi’s work adeptly incorporates a wide variety of elements such as comedy, romance, fantasy, and martial arts. Takahashi’s manga, as well as the other formats her work has been adapted into, have continued to delight generations of fans around the world.

A majority of the Takahashi canon has been adapted into other media such as anime, live-action TV series, and film. She won the prestigious Shogakukan Manga Award twice in her career, once for Urusei Yatsura in 1981 and the second time for Inuyasha in 2002. Takahashi was inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Awards Hall of Fame in 2018. Other notable works include Mermaid Saga, Rumic Theater, and One-Pound Gospel. Takahashi followed up the success of her debut series with one blockbuster hit after another- Maison Ikkoku ran from 1980 to 1987, Ranma 1/2 from 1987 to 1996, and Inuyasha from 1996 to 2008.
This phenomenally successful manga series was adapted into anime format and spawned a TV series and half a dozen theatrical-release movies, all incredibly popular in their own right. Later that same year, her boy-meets-alien comedy series, Urusei Yatsura, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. The spotlight on Rumiko Takahashi’s career began in 1978 when she won an honorable mention in Shogakukan’s prestigious New Comic Artist Contest for Those Selfish Aliens.
